The Department of Biology and Environmental Science at the University of New Haven invites applications for a Practitioner in Residence position beginning August 2023.
The Department seeks to hire a highly skilled teacher with expertise in Anatomy and Physiology. We offer two large multi-section A&P courses, and the successful applicant will coordinate the instruction of the lecture and laboratory sections, in addition to teaching these courses. These courses serve majors in our department and also the growing programs in our School of Health Sciences. Our department is large and varied with undergraduate degrees in Biology, Genetics and Biotechnology, Marine Biology, Marine Affairs, and Environmental Science and graduate M.S. programs in Cell and Molecular Biology, Environmental Science, and Marine Policy & Management.
Candidates must have earned a master’s degree in a relevant field, although a Ph.D., M.D., or D.P.M. is strongly preferred. In addition to running our A&P courses, there is an opportunity to teach and develop courses in related topics such as histology and neurobiology.

The University seeks candidates whose teaching, research and/or service has prepared them to contribute diversity and inclusion in our academic community.
