Responsibilities
- Coordinating field work with field technicians, subcontractors, landowners, etc. Booking subcontractors and ordering equipment and laboratory supplies.
- Being responsible for the reconciliation and reporting of labour, equipment, field tickets, weekly, and monthly tracking purposes in support of project invoicing;
- Assisting in the preparation and implementation of field programs;
- Writing technical reports on time and on budget with an understanding of the applicable guidelines;
- Participating in a team environment, working closely with discipline leads, Project Managers, Project Directors, the accounting team, and report documentation team;
- Assisting with the organization of project files and facilitate the completion of action items in a timely manner.
The preferred candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- University degree/diploma in environmental science or a similar field
- 2 to 4 years of experience in contaminated site assessments
- Sound understanding of the need for health and safety procedures in the workplace/Possess a safety conscious attitude.
- Ability to carry out project accounting, tracking and reporting requirements as well as integration of project technical teams, as directed by the Project Manager or Project Director
- Strong interpersonal, communication and key judgment skills
- The ability to balance budgets with high attention to detail is necessary.
