Job Description
The Safety, Environmental & Health Data Analyst is responsible for the ongoing collection, data quality and reporting of SH&E lagging, leading and event-based data. The role will also be responsible for facilitating the software selection project and leading the deployment of the selected solution company wide. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the long-term administration and maintenance of activities related to the third-party SaaS SH&E Data Management System. This position is the primary subject matter expert for the SaaS SH&E Data Management System and is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the system by providing advice and support on a variety of matters related to the system. The position contributes to the development, implementation and evaluation of strategies and activities to ensure that the tools and system capabilities are working effectively to provide efficient to collect, manage and report on the SH&E performance across the organization.
Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a safety related field or 3+ years of related SH&E work experience.
- Master’s Degree or certifications (i.e.: CSP, OHST, STS or COSS) preferred
- Demonstrated ability in collecting and analyzing data; preparing reports; and training employees.
- Metal Service Center, Steel Industry or Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Product Knowledge.
- Experienced working with third party SaaS SH&E Data Management Systems.
- Customer focused and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse work community.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills.
