Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Environmental Consultant & Team Lead with the solid experience in Terrestrial Ecology. This role will be based in our office in Dubai and will be responsible for delivering projects in the Middle East.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all commercial aspects of the team (e.g., utilisation, resourcing, workload, revenue forecasts, invoicing etc.).
- Drive business development within the team and ensure sufficient work winning to meet required targets.
- Provide mentorship and upskilling to staff in the team, as required.
- Work collaboratively with the Technical Lead (Terrestrial Ecology) to ensure technical excellence and quality in all ecological deliverables.
- Contribute to overall direction, strategy and success of AESG as part of the company senior team.
- Independently manage complex projects and resolve complex project issues.
- Ensure the successful delivery of projects to exemplary levels of quality.
- Develop client relationships and seek repeat work from existing clients through
excellent and timely project delivery. - Provide thought leadership in the division and industry as a whole.
- Support development of procedures to improve division function and efficiency.
Essential Qualifications / Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Ecology/Biodiversity or related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience.
- Strong team management and leadership skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good financial and commercial acumen, within a project and team setting.
- Project management skills for execution of complex, large-scale projects.
- Able to resolve complex technical issues.
- Able to support and guide other team members in resolving project issues.
- Client relationship management.
- Able to drive training initiatives and continuous technical improvement in the team. Commercial and contractual awareness.
