GHD's Environment Group in Vancouver, BC is seeking a passionate Environmental Assessment Lead to join our Western Canadian region working on a wide range of projects across all industry sectors for both the government and private sector. This role will work as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team across a variety of infrastructure projects in the water, wastewater, waste, energy and resources, transportation, oil & gas, mining, construction and other sectors.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
This role will see you involved in:
- Developing GHDs strategy for environmental assessment, permitting and approvals throughout Western Canada
- Leading the delivery of environmental assessments, permitting and approval application documentation, due diligence and environmental constraints reports, technical specialist assessment studies, environmental management, and monitoring plans
- Providing regulatory, environmental assessment, permitting, approvals, risk and opportunity advice to clients and within the business to assist them to deliver solutions to enable corporate or other targets to be met
- Building long standing and trusted working relationships with our clients, internal and external stakeholders
- Leading stakeholder engagement activities with regulatory authorities, indigenous groups, communities, and other interested parties as part of the delivery of the environmental assessment activities for the project
- Working with the Market Sector Leads to identify business development opportunities, including leading the preparation of proposals, including scope, budget, and schedule requirements
- Managing multiple projects within client’s scope, budget, and schedule expectations to ensure quality standards on project deliverables are met
- Providing leadership and mentoring to junior and mid-level consulting personnel to contribute to their professional development, growth, and success and that of the wider business
- Contributing to the annual Business Plan for the team, including all future opportunity and resource requirements.
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in environmental science, planning, management, engineering, or other discipline relevant to environmental impact assessment
- Professional Designation
- 10+ years’ experience in environmental planning, permitting, approvals, due diligence, and post approval environmental management across a range of infrastructure sectors
- A strong working knowledge and understanding of Federal and BC Provincial environmental impact assessment, permitting, protection, and management legislation. Including the BC EPA processes, reporting and licensing requirements
- Strong experience working in multidisciplinary project/program teams on a range of projects, clients, and internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent writing, communication, presentation, time management, organizational, people leadership and management skills

Salary range: $115,080.00 to $172,620.00
