Discover more about potash at Nutrien! This is an open posting for Co-op, Mine/Geological/Environmental Engineering students beginning May 2025 for a 16-month term.
What you will do:
- Assist the Engineering department with various duties, including:
- Collaborate on meaningful projects
- Provide technical support on various key initiatives
- Analyze data to support mine ventilation, rock mechanics, ground support testing, and report preparation
- Work to optimize process and productivity in collaboration with maintenance, engineering and operations
- May also be involved in design work and project management
What you will bring:
- Must be currently enrolled and have completed at least 2 years of an undergraduate Mine, Geological, or Environmental Engineering program (or equivalent) at an accredited post-secondary institution AND returning to full-time studies after the work term
- Demonstrated positive safety behaviour and safety leadership
- Willingness to learn and gain knowledge and experience through training
- Excellent interpersonal teamwork and communication skills
- Motivation to set and achieve goals, take initiative, and nurture projects forward
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
- Preference will be given to candidates with mining or heavy industrial experience
