SUMMARY:
The Licensed Plumber is responsible for installation, maintenance and repair of plumbing and drainage systems, fixtures, gas and water piping, sewage system and storm lines throughout the exhibit and back areas according to applicable codes and guidelines.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Installation of plumbing systems:
- Assembles and installs new plumbing, gas lines and systems
Maintenance and Repair of plumbing systems:
- Performs preventative maintenance and maintains service records of all equipment and systems
- Operates aquatic animal life support systems and water features
- Keeps all equipment relative to the filtration systems in good working order
- Maintains backflow systems and performs up-to-date inspections
- Maintains optimal performance for sewer and storm lines
- Maintains and ensures all piping systems are within code requirements
- Responds to emergencies as necessary
- Understands, interpret and work from blueprints/drawings
Other duties:
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience:
- 3 – 5 years of experience
- Red Seal Certificate
- Class B Ticket
- Experience in drainage, water and vent systems
- Experience in backflow preventer preferred

- Detail oriented and accurate in execution of duties;

- Good interpersonal skills and presentation skills;
- Ability to perform in fast paced high pressure environments.
Working Conditions:
- Job requires the incumbent to frequently stand or walk, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl;
- Job requires the ability to safely lift and carry items up to 50lbs;
- Incumbent may be required to work on weekend day and holidays;
- Exposure to slippery conditions and uneven surfaces.
SALARY RANGE: $34 to $44 PER HOUR
