Job Summary
The Outbound Specialist is responsible for coordinating and scheduling outbound loads,
ensuring proper invoicing, and maintaining efficient communication across various
departments. This role is critical to ensuring that outbound logistics are executed
seamlessly and that all processes adhere to company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Load Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule outbound loads, ensuring timely and accurate
dispatch to meet customer requirements.
Invoicing: Ensure proper invoicing of outbound loads, verifying that all relevant data is
accurate and up-to-date.
Cross-Department Communication: Act as a liaison between departments such as Billing,
Shipping, and Customer Service to ensure that outbound processes are aligned and
efficient.
Process Compliance: Ensure that all outbound processes adhere to company policies and
procedures, identifying and addressing any discrepancies.
Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues related to outbound loads, working
collaboratively with other departments to find solutions.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all outbound activities, including load
schedules, invoices, and any related communications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in logistics, billing, or a similar role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with logistics or billing software is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively across departments and manage multiple tasks
simultaneously.
