Job Summary:
The Inventory Clerkactively is actively engage in the inventory management process. Ensure the accuracy of 100% of inventory IN and OUT transactions. Manage and track costs associated with projects. Responsible for maintaining accurate records, tracking product movement, staging job needs for our crews, returning materials to stock.
Essential Duties, Functions, and Core Accountabilities:
Handle Bill of Materials (BOM) documentation.
Oversee and actively participate in the solar inventory management process.
Ensure accurate tracking of inventory IN and OUT transactions.
Manage and monitor project costs related to solar inventory.
Work collaboratively with relevant departments to optimize project expenses.
Handle the creation and maintenance of Bill of Materials (BOM) for solar projects.
Ensure BOM accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
Process and manage sales receipts related to solar inventory transactions.
Receive and accurately document invoices associated with solar projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline solar inventory processes.
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless coordination.
Implement quality control measures to uphold the accuracy and integrity of solar inventory data.
Conduct periodic audits to verify inventory levels and address discrepancies.
Process and manage sales receipts.
Managing inventory by stocking and cataloging products for a business in our inventory system in QB Desktop
Performing quality checks on stored inventory and discarding inventory that does not meet the company’s standards
Updating inventory count and maintaining inventory records to share with management in the business in our Inventory Systems
Reporting discrepancies in inventory that indicate theft, such as too little inventory at last count
Implementing loss prevention programs to prevent theft
Obtaining estimates and price details from different vendors to compare costs
Researching the accuracy of product details and testing new products
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Requirements, Education, Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in the solar industry.
Familiarity with project cost tracking and financial aspects related to solar inventory.
Knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) creation and maintenance.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in transaction documentation.
Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal teams.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a dynamic environment.
High school diploma or equivalent
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Excellent customer service skills
Availability of Monday-Friday
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
Authorized to work in the US for any employer.
At least 2+ years of previous solar experience highly desired
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Working in a team environment and coworkers, and remains tactful when communicating
Ability to maintain the confidentiality of company and partner information
Extremely professional on the phone and via text.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a dynamic environment.
Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to excel at details, multi‐tasking, and working under pressure
