DescriptionThe responsibility of the Design Engineer is to be involved in the complete design of our new calciners and process equipment in collaboration with our engineering team. This process includes the following phases
Conceptual phase
- Collect the process data required to start the design
- Define the first process flow diagram and mass balance of the project
- Define the general architecture and lay-out of the plant
- Request quotes as required for process and handling equipment
- Participate in the technical feasibility study of the project (Technical Assumptions + Cost approach) including Pre-FEED and FEED studies for new plants / equipment.
Basic engineering
- Build and manage the budget and schedule of the mechanical design engineering part of the project
- Prepare the technical specifications for all equipment and participate in the purchasing process (technical negotiation)
- Define, with our engineering team, the architecture of the process buildings (equipment integration, structural parts, piping, utilities, cable ways, instrument integration, …)
- Follow and manage the development of the basic engineering with our design team (internally or with external supplier) – P&ID, Equipment List
- Prospect possible new suppliers for equipment or new workshops for structural parts
- Develop the 3D model of the new production facility with the EPC contractor.
Detailed engineering
- Develop the complete workshop drawings and documentation package for the work shops (domestic or international) and erection companies
- Visit workshops as required to review fabrication process
- Integrate all the auxiliary equipment and utility networks
Erection
- Will be responsible as contact person for the erectors for technical questions on site as required.
- Engineering support during erection phase
- Manage the improvements or modifications
- Inspection on site and hand off to commissioning team
Start-up
With our process team, participate to the cold commissioning and start-up of our new equipment
