We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated BMS Team Leader to join our growing team. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining the Battery Management System (BMS) for SolarEdge’s advanced energy storage solutions. You will drive the team's technical roadmap and ensure the highest standards of performance, safety, and reliability in our BMS products.
What will you be doing:
- Leading HW design of digital boards and products
- Managing a team of 3 engineers
- Responsibility for the team’s tasks, design review and timelines.
- Leading several development projects in parallel, at all project stages till MP
- Working in multidisciplinary environment and collaboration with other departments
- B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of analog circuits and analog measurements.
- Proficiency in simulation tools like LTspice or Psim.
- Experience in Battery Management Systems (BMS).
- Experience in high-density PCB layout design.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN, I2C, SPI, and UART.
- Experience in designing protection circuits (overvoltage, overcurrent, short circuit).
- Knowledge of power electronics and DC-DC converter design (Buck, Boost, Flyback, Forward).
- Ability to mentor and lead junior engineers.
- Strong documentation skills, including design reviews and product lifecycle management.
Advantageous Qualifications:
- Familiarity with safety standards for battery and energy storage systems.
- Understanding of thermal management in electronic designs.
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC mitigation techniques.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance in electronics (CE, UL, etc.).
- Knowledge of FPGA or microcontroller-based control systems.
- Familiarity with energy storage technologies (Li-Ion, Solid State, etc.).
- Experience in project management, including budget and timeline management.
