Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Program Manager to join our team to lead the successful delivery of our transformational multi-product solution in a leading global energy provider. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record leading large, complex, global projects in the Oil & Gas industry, be recognized as a senior leader by peers and team members and building relationships and aligning with key customer executive stakeholders. This role requires exceptional leadership, Oil & Gas industry expertise, complex cross-functional project delivery and management capabilities, executive communication skills, and the ability to build meaningful relationships at an executive level.
Responsibilities
- Managing multiple program/project managers responsible for different workstreams, including initial planning, scoping, cost estimation, scheduling, resourcing, technical solution design, monitoring project implementation metrics, action items, and deliverables, performing quality control and validation activities, end user training, and project closure activities
- Effectively align with executive stakeholders on the critical strategic success factors and ongoing governance in a large, complex, global customer organization
- Building and running an effective governance program(s) with senior customer stakeholders as well as Quorum’s executive team to ensure ongoing program success
- Managing project risks and issues, anticipate, forecast, and mitigate deviations from plans with a focus on delivering our solutions with a respectable customer experience.
- Effectively blending traditional PM principles and practices with an Agile development approach in the right proportions to best fit large, complex, mission-critical, enterprise-level projects and with the appropriate level of planning and provide the right balance of agility and predictability.
- Manage customer expectations for project deliverables, managing stakeholder communications, and implement an effective system of project governance
- Mapping program/project status back to key success criteria
- Taking full accountability for customer satisfaction, owning the solution and performance of our team and proactively addressing risks and issues
- Maintain strong and current knowledge of relevant energy industry sectors (e.g., upstream, midstream, tech, ESG).
- Possess deep knowledge of different project/program delivery techniques
- Engage and utilize external/industry contractors as required to ensure successful delivery.
Requirements
- 5-10 years experience at a Systems Integrator running large, complex, global teams consisting of multiple workstreams and solution
- 7 years experience working in the Oil & Gas industry
- Proven track record of running $10-15M/year accounts over a 3-year period
- Experience successfully implementing software or web development programs/projects using Agile methodologies
- Experience with business architecture and business process management methodologies
- Experience working in a matrixed organization with project teams that report into other leaders
- Exceptional ability to lead and motivate teams during time constrained and challenging situations.
- Highly effective communication skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
- University Degree, preferably B.S. Degree in Engineering discipline or Business Degree.MBA, or other advanced management training would be an asset
- Travel: Ability to travel internationally 30%.Must have a valid passport.
