THE WAREHOUSE CLERK POSITION
The Warehouse Clerk position at Sunnova is a full-time, on-site role integral to the company’s mission of powering energy independence through renewable solutions. This position requires a reliable and self-motivated individual to manage day-to-day operations within Sunnova’s solar energy warehouse and storage facilities, ensuring smooth processes and compliance with organizational and safety standards. The role involves accurately coordinating and processing all incoming and outgoing shipments and maintaining meticulous digital and physical records of warehouse transactions and shipping documentation. Warehouse Clerks are also responsible for managing technician safety equipment and processing daily technician work orders, typically two to five orders per day.
WAREHOUSE CLERK RESPONSIBILITIES
•Process and coordinate all incoming and outgoing shipping requests, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
•Maintain digital and physical records for all warehouse transactions and shipping documents.
•Support facility management tasks such as scheduling maintenance and organizing repair work orders.
•Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages, including sorting and distribution.
•Coordinate with IT support to resolve on-site technical issues.
•Perform ad-hoc warehouse tasks as requested by Facility Managers or Project Managers.
•Processing of 2-5 daily technician work orders per day.
•Manage technician safety equipment.
•Follow OSHA approved best practices.
•Maintain a high standard in warehouse organization and cleanliness.
•Assist with regular inventory inspections and audits.
•Assist with quarterly warehouse equipment audits.
•Assist with e-waste and recycling programs.
•Assist with monthly regional storage compliance audits.
•Assist with regional Emergency Response Planning.
•Serve as Sunnova liaison helping customer find proper company contacts.
•Work with vendors, technicians, and interdepartmental personnel.
•Up to 20% travel within the region.
•Occasional overtime and weekends may be required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
•High school diploma required, associate’s degree in business administration or related field preferred.
•Minimum of 2 year of proven experience in a warehouse role.
•Valid driver's license.
•Ability to stand, sit, move, and lift 50 pounds (or more).
•Strong proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
•Experience with inventory management software and can adapt to multiple different interfacing platforms.
•On-site full time (This is not a remote job).
•Strong attention to detail and organization.
•Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.
•Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Willingness to undertake additional training as needed.
•Legally authorized to work in the US for ANY employer.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•OSHA training certification.
