DescriptionJob Purpose
Responsible for leading and managing the environmental and social aspects of the TCL’s Cleantech and Infra customers and their operations, projects, facilities and activities. Responsible for conducting environmental & social due diligence of financing deals. Support SEMS and E&S advisory function in Clean Tech and Infra by operational coordination and specific inputs to portfolio projects to ensure compliance with TCL policies.
Main Accountabilities
Environmental and Social Due Diligence
• Develop and implement environmental and social policies, standards, and procedures that align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Conducting risk assessments to identify, assess, and manage environmental and social risks associated with operations and activities.
• Undertake E&S due diligence of financing deals, through site visits, document reviews, and review of information in public domain.
• Use of existing / new specific and generic tools for assessing regulatory applicability, locational sensitivities, stakeholder consultations, regulatory approval and compliance status, environmental & social issues / controversies
• Support delivery of proposals and projects to enable providing advisory services on environmental and social aspects.
MIS and E&S Management System
• Maintain MIS and provide inputs to administer E&S management systems during various stages of transactions, portfolio analysis, and periodic reporting to IFC and any other external agencies.
• Communicate across various functions of Clean Tech & Infra, including sales, credit, legal, risk, operations etc., for effective and efficient implementation and improvement of SEMS.
• Analyse data and utilise reporting techniques to collect, analyze, and report environmental and social performance data.
• Lead the technological adoption and automation of business processes wherever feasible to bring efficiency and customer experience.
Stakeholder Management
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, regulators, investors, and communities, to promote environmental and social responsibility and sustainability.
• Develop and implement systems and processes to monitor and report on the environmental and social performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate environmental and social considerations into business processes and decision-making.
• Providing expert advice and guidance on environmental and social issues to senior management and other stakeholders.
Team Management
• Identify and create development opportunities as well as develop training methodologies for team members to enhance functional knowledge
• Engage with HR and participate in recruitment process to identify the right talent at senior positions within the team
• Cascade objectives, establish individual performance expectations and regularly review individual performance of the team; Complete the appraisal related activities for own team
Qualification: Masters in any Engg / Sciences
