Schneider Electric USA, Inc. seeks a Software, Senior Design Engineer (Mobile Applications) in Andover, MA.
Job Description: Write high quality, maintainable code as leading member of the mobile team. Maintain and update existing libraries for internal and external sources as well as core development of new features across multiple mobile applications developed in both cross platform and native mobile technologies. Maintain and develop mobile applications using both native and cross platform technologies. Develop well architected, scalable mobile applications and apply principles of SDLC and methodologies such as Lean / Agile, software and product security, scalability, documentation practices, refactoring, and testing techniques. Collaborate with system engineers, front end designers, and other software engineers to implement solutions that are aligned with and extend shared platforms and solutions across the corporate application governance landscape. Work with product owners to understand product requirements and vision, and support in backlog refinement and estimation to ensure technical requirements are clearly written and understood by the team. Position eligible for 100% remote work, reporting to company worksite in Andover, MA.
Requirements: Position requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and progressive, post-bachelor's experience (4 years with Master’s, 6 years with Bachelor’s) in mobile software application development or related occupation, which must include at least some experience in the following skills: Maintaining and developing third party SDKs and Libraries, ensuring portability of code between cross platform technologies and native application frameworks; BACnet Building Automation Protocol; Bluetooth (BLE) Protocol across Windows, iOS, and Android platforms; Xamarin, iOS, and Android Mobile Frameworks and core mobile APIs; DevOps systems development; Building and deploying applications to public application stores; Test-driven development and automated testing frameworks; and Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
