OVERVIEW:
Schneider Electric is looking for a hybrid Digital Security Intern located at our Boston Hub for Summer 2025. You will be tasked with supporting the Regional CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) in maintaining an enterprise-wide information risk security/privacy program while ensuring tight linkage with the overall corporate strategy. The CISO is responsible for the security necessary to support business needs which include: developing, implementing, and monitoring enterprise-wide initiatives to reduce information security risks, promoting utilization of industry standards and best practices, tracking violations of privacy and security, identifying security trends and evolving technologies, reporting information security risks in a manner that meets compliance and regulatory requirements, and communicating effectively with Sr. Leadership about related information security issues and implications to the enterprise.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The intern will assist the Americas CISO to identify opportunities to mature the Cybersecurity governance model for entities previously acquired by Schneider to help identify key assets, protect, detect, respond, and recover from security incidents. Additionally, the responsibility will include coordination of activities with internal global business partners to ensure compliance with security policies. The intern will be integrated into the Schneider Digital Security community. As needed, they will work with the Americas CISO, Regional Security Officers, and Digital Risk Leaders to ensure team coordination and the execution of cyber security programs.
KEY MISSIONS:
- Contributing to the definition and delivery of internal cybersecurity programs
- Assist in the maturity and development of security capabilities within the acquired entities of Schneider Electric that remain stand-alone.
- Further develop a global security community to include acquired entities and core Schneider security
- Assist in assessing acquired entities in the Americas region to determine their level of maturity by the newly established Security Trust Standards.
- Assist in the Installed Base Initiative: an internal project that will help secure OT products
- Ad hoc support based on the needs of Digital Security and our stakeholders (IE policy modifications, assistance with incident response and coordination with Security Operations Center, etc.)
- Promotion of cybersecurity within the company the content can evolve during the internship
- Contributing to new and upcoming projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cybersecurity governance initiatives across the organization
- A successful candidate is a strong communicator, with excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong analytical skills: ability to screen and quickly absorb information on various topics from multiple
- Open-mindedness, actively listening to others, understanding and valuing others'
- Fast learner with excellent organization & interpersonal skills
- Security Certification not required but an enhancement, Security+, CySA+, SSCP, etc.
- Work easily in a multicultural context
- Familiarity with digital tools and social media
