Purpose of this Role

Then come join us as a Sustainability Reporting Specialist and contribute to our Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) reporting as well as our new sustainability strategy centered around a thriving planet, enabled communities, and responsible business.
Through this role, you will get to collaborate with forward thinking individuals in various areas that touch sustainability as part of CSRD reporting.
You create impact by…
- Leading the writing and compilation of our first annual sustainability report in H1 2025 and outlining the progress we have made against our newly released Sustainability Strategy (‘envision’) and its associated 2030 targets
- Owning enviolo’s reporting requirements for CSRD. This includes:
- The timely and accurate publication of our first integrated report in H1 2026
- Managing the collection, validation, analysis and reporting of all (CSRD-related) ESG metrics (e.g. carbon emissions, recycled content, product repairs, human rights audits, critical materials) in close collaboration with internal stakeholders (e.g. ESG topic owners and our in-house data team) and key suppliers (e.g. contract manufacturers)
- The creation of an auditable ESG data collection and internal control framework, and the periodic execution of double materiality assessments
- Monitoring developments in non-financial reporting regulations and emerging sustainability/ESG reporting standards, such as the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), ensuring our sustainability reporting remains compliant and aligned with evolving requirements and best practices
- Spearheading our internal and external ESG communications by developing compelling and engaging content (e.g. case studies and success stories) to effectively communicate our sustainability performance to stakeholders
- Supporting enviolo’s Director of Sustainability and ESG topic owners in delivering enviolo’s holistic 2030 Sustainability Strategy (‘envision’), which covers three pillars (Thriving Planet, Empowered Community, and Responsible Business) and 11 ambitious targets
What we’re looking for:
- You are fluent in English and have elite verbal and written communication skills
- You have strong analytical skills and razor sharp attention to detail
- A strong ability and interest in collecting, optimizing, structuring, analyzing and visualizing data and information
- The ability to craft compelling stories that inspire
- You have an ease to connect and collaborate with people at all levels of an organization
- You are proactive and independent; you see opportunities for improvement in processes and systems, and you take them
- You live in or close to Amsterdam and have the legal right to work in the EU (we prefer you to work at least 3 days per week from our HQ office location in Amsterdam).
Required and Desired Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in the field of ESG/sustainability, of which at least 2 involve external reporting responsibilities
- Proven experience and/or knowledge of ESG reporting regulations (e.g. CSRD) and reporting standards (e.g. GRI, SASB, UN Global Compact, Ecovadis, B corp)
- Technical knowledge and expertise in specific ESG topics, with a preference for climate change (e.g Corporate Carbon Footprinting and or Life Cycle Assessments) and human rights due diligence (e.g. SMETA/SA8000 audits) expertise
- Previous experience with multi-stakeholder project management
- Previous experience with ESG or financial assurance/auditing is highly desirable
