The Innovation & Technology team of Schneider Electric seeks a January 2025 Embedded Software Engineer Co-Op to contribute to developing the Edge Software program. This position will be based in Andover, MA.
You will work within a dynamic and Agile team on cutting-edge technologies for the Industrial Automation Business.
What will you do?
Your mission will consist of:
- Researching and investigating on-promise system management and Edge workload orchestration, performance testing and analysis, and application development for resource-constraint devices.
- Contributing to the development of the Edge Software ecosystem using C, C++, GO, and Docker

- Current enrollment in a BA/BS program in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or directly related field required (last year)
- Strong programming skills in C/C++, python
- Experience with Software/Embedded Software Development on Linux environment.
- Experience with GIT, CI/CD processes, and DevOps
- Strong curiosity about unfamiliar technologies and deep desire of learning new advancements
- Ability to understand product requirements and design possible solutions.
- Ability to proactively attempt different solutions to solve the problems.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment to deliver efficiently.
- Effective communication abilities to foster team engagement.
- Ability to work ONSITE 5 days a week based in Andover, MA starting January 2025, for 6-8 Months
