The Sales Specialist-Battery Fire Protection provides sales
leadership for implementation of FyreWrap LiB fire protection products and
system commercialization for short term growth and profitability. This position
establishes and manages the appropriate channel(s) of sale and relationships
with end users. The incumbent is responsible for identifying new lithium-ion
battery passive fire, electrical, and thermal protection market opportunities. Conducts
initial screening and evaluation of the potential business case and provides a recommended
course of action. Maintains highest
level of knowledge possible of Company products, applications, services and
policies.This role will service all
customers within the assigned territory.
Responsibilities:
Sales growth
consistent with the Company's annual operating and strategic plans.
Provide technical and sales
support for the growing FyreWrap LiB business.
Champion new product
implementation efforts in the assigned product line through specification
selling, education of code officials to gain local approvals and establishment
of appropriate channel of sale and relationships with end users.
Become the knowledge
source for key market influencers involved in design, regulation development
and testing of battery related materials.
Identification and
evaluation of new sales and product opportunities
Participation on new
product development team.
Deliver sales program
while operating within defined expense budget.
Protect pricing
integrity by recommending price policies and practices.
Maintain product
leadership by identifying and developing promotional tools that educate,
promote, and articulate product advantages and customer value.
Act as the
"clearing house" for competitive information in his/her area.
Cultivate
relationships with customers in order to help secure positioning within the
account. Relationships should be at all levels of the organization from the
facility manager to the executive wing.
Coordinate with
Application Engineers, Customer Service, Product Managers, customers and sales
personnel to achieve desired results.
The successful candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in
lithium based battery and/or automotive Sales and Marketing, preferably serving
end markets with technical insulation/fiber products. The individual holding this position must be
proficient in the technical and operational management of his/her products and
be able to represent Unifrax as an expert in this space.A B.S. Degree in Engineering or Marketing is
required.An MBA is preferred.Knowledge of Passive Fire Protection
production and applicable is helpful.Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and in Adaptive Coaching
skills of listening, asking and responding.Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills are
required.
There are 2 positions open - one in the U.S. and one in Europe. The preferred
location for the U.S. position is Tonawanda, New York, or for the Europe position, it is Germany or UK.This position
reports to the Market Development Manager.
