We are seeking 10 experienced
Solar Panel Installers to join a large-scale commercial rooftop solar installation project in Auckland.
This is a three-month project requiring a reliable and skilled team with previous hands-on experience installing solar panels on large commercial buildings.
We are looking for practical, safety-conscious workers who can follow instructions, work effectively as part of a team and contribute to completing the installation to the required standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Install solar panels on commercial/ industrial rooftops as part of a large-scale solar project.
- Assist with positioning, lifting and securing solar panels onto the roof mounting systems.
- Fit and secure mounting brackets, rails and associated installation components.
- Use hand and power tools to fasten screws, nuts, bolts and other installation hardware.
- Measure, align and position panels according to installation plans and instructions.
- Read and interpret installation plans where required and ensure panels and mounting systems are installed in the correct locations.
- Work safely at heights while handling materials and tools on rooftops.
- Assist with moving, positioning and handling solar installation materials around the site.
- Work alongside the wider installation team to maintain productivity, quality and site safety.
- Keep work areas tidy and follow all site-specific health and safety requirements.
Skills and Requirements
Essential: - Previous hands-on experience installing solar panels on rooftops.
- A current Working at Heights qualification or certification, as required for the project.
- Ability to read and interpret installation plans.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Ideally own, and be able to use basic tools, including Cutters, Plies, Impact driver, Wire strippers, Wrenches
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team.
- Good understanding of working safely on rooftops and around other trades.
- Reliable, physically fit and comfortable working outdoors at heights.
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
Additional advantage: - Current Scissor Lift and Knuckle Boom EWP certifications
