Main Objectives:
The Renewable Energy Project is seeking a skilled and Practical Solar Energy Installation Trainer. The primary objective of The Renewable Energy Project is to empower individuals with the necessary skills and expertise to excel as Solar Energy Installer. The project centers on addressing the growing demand for renewable energy solutions, specifically in the field of solar energy. As part of these activities, we aim to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application by providing comprehensive training programs, contributing not only to the development of a sustainable energy infrastructure but also to the promotion of green job creation in alignment with our commitment to restore critical community infrastructure and basic services, and foster social cohesion.
Through The Renewable Energy Project, we seek to cultivate a new generation of skilled trainers becoming an integral part of the team, capable of making a valuable contribution to the formation of a team of solar installers.
The team is expected to support in installing solar systems in different social buildings in Damascus & Rural Damascus Governorates.
The focus extends beyond theoretical understanding, emphasizing hands-on experience and practical proficiency. By equipping these installers with an in-depth understanding of solar energy systems, installation techniques, safety protocols, and troubleshooting strategies, we aspire to foster a network of trainers and installers who can impart their knowledge related to solar system installation.
III. Objectives of the Assignment
Under the overall direction of the southern area technical officer /Area manager and supervision of the Climate Mitigation Project Manager, the trainer should have a good background in solar energy systems, combined with a passion for training and educating others. The role involves designing, developing, and delivering hands-on training sessions to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills required for successful solar energy installations. The trainer will play a crucial role in advancing renewable energy adoption by empowering individuals to become proficient in solar energy installation.

Responsibilities:
Design and develop a comprehensive training program focused on practical solar energy installation techniques, encompassing both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience.
Support in installing solar kits for social buildings in Damascus & Rural Damascus Governorates.
Deliver training sessions to diverse groups, including (two fresh graduated engineers, two women who newly established their own business in RE and two technicians), in practical training environments.
Provide clear and concise explanations of solar energy principles, components, system design, installation procedures, safety protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.
Organize and set up practical training equipment and systems for participants to gain hands-on experience with solar energy installations.
Demonstrate proper use of tools, equipment, and safety measures during solar energy installations.
Monitor and evaluate participants' progress throughout the training sessions, providing constructive feedback and guidance to enhance their learning outcomes.

VII. Recruitment Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and civil engineering or a related field.
Experience: 2 years of practical relevant experience with a minimum of five conducted projects in RE.
Proven experience in solar energy system design, installation, and maintenance.
Prior experience in training and teaching, preferably in a technical or vocational setting.
Language Requirements: Excellent command of Arabic.
