Job Responsibilities:
- Identify proper welding wire and alloy is used for the applicable base metal.
- Ability to change wire, rollers, tips, diffusers, nozzles and set proper tension on rollers.
- Ability to set proper welding parameters (voltage & wire speed)
- Demonstrate competency in GMAW techniques with solid wire on aluminum in the Flat, Horizontal & Vertical Fillet Positions
- Demonstrate competency in post welding treatment – i.e., brushing, cleaning, straightening & weld quality.
- Pass Welding Performance Test (given on-site during interview process-Q.A. determination)
- Fast paced assembly style facility
- Ability to handle several hundred small welds applied in a single shift.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- H.S. Diploma/GED
- Technical Training Desired with focus in Welding.
- Welding Certification, a plus
- OSHA training, a plus
- Must demonstrate the ability to safely lift to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
- Must have the ability to stand on hard surfaces while working.
- Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled temperatures.
- Commitment to participate in continuous improvement.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment.
- Ability to perform in compliance with company safety rules.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic math skills
