Summary
You will serve as a Dispatcher Public Safety with National Park Service, performing dispatch duties for the Visitor and Resoures Protection division. You may be required to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and shift work.
Major Duties
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Perform emergency and administrative call taking and prioritize the calls based on answers given through precise questioning. Initiate appropriate response of personnel in accordance with agency plans, guides and protocols. Operate a multi channel radio system to maintain communications and allow for visitor and employee safety. Provide all needed dispatch support for law enforcement activities. Maintain needed certifications that allow for access to protected law enforcement databases.
