Summary
You will serve as a FUL-Park Guide within Olympic National Park in the Division of Interpretation. This position provides guide services to visitors. The work involves giving talks, interpreting natural and historic features, answering questions, guiding tours and providing miscellaneous services to visitors.
Major Duties
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Provide detailed information concerning natural, cultural, historic, or other resources intended to encourage interest in protection and preservation of resources. Serve as front-line representative to greet customers and answers questions. Use tact and diplomacy in dealing with the general public to avoid conflict and resolve problems. Assist the public in planning visits to and recommending activities in the area. Respond to mail, email, and telephone information requests. Provide a wide range of services to visitors including public orientation, explanations of current park events and potential safety hazards.
