We are currently seeking an HR Assistant to join our talented UK HR team. You will be based in our London office and will be providing quality HR Administrative support to the UK business, working within our local HR team of 4.

You will report to the Junior HR Business Partner.

Job Description

Provide accurate, responsive and professional HR administrative support across the full employee lifecycle, working closely with the Junior HR Business Partners and Head of HR.
Prepare and issue employment documentation, including offer letters, contracts, contractual changes, employee correspondence and leaver documentation.
Coordinate new starter, onboarding and leaver processes, including pre-employment checks, induction arrangements, probation reminders and exit administration.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, HR systems and trackers, ensuring changes to roles, pay, hours, locations and personal details are processed promptly.
Support recruitment activities, including vacancy administration, advertising, interview scheduling, candidate communications, offers, references and pre-employment checks.
Act as a first point of contact for routine employee and manager HR enquiries, providing clear information on standard HR processes and escalating more complex matters where appropriate.
Produce routine HR reports and metrics and support data requirements for payroll, benefits, absence, workforce planning and other people processes, identifying and highlighting any discrepancies.
Provide administrative and coordination support for employee relations activity, meetings, HR projects, engagement initiatives, learning activities and employee events.
Coordinate recurring HR activities and deadlines, maintaining clear, accurate and auditable records, templates, checklists and process documentation.
Build positive working relationships across the business and contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to make HR processes more efficient, consistent and employee-focused.

Qualifications

Previous experience supporting an HR function, with a good understanding of employee lifecycle processes and day-to-day HR administration.
Excellent attention to detail, with strong organisational and time management skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and deliver accurate work to deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships and work collaboratively as part of a team.
A professional and discreet approach, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, HR systems and collaboration tools, together with some knowledge of UK employment legislation and a willingness to continue learning.
A proactive, solutions-focused and adaptable approach, with a passion for continuous improvement and the confidence to work effectively in situations where there may be ambiguity.
