Customs Agent / Specialist
Near Tonbridge, Kent (Office-based)
Up to £30,000 per annum + Excellent Benefits
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-in-6 Weekend Rota)

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit customs declarations and associated pre-notifications for clients and group operations.
- Proactively manage customs holds on consignments to ensure the timely release of time-critical, perishable goods.
- Act as a key liaison with third parties including HMRC, APHA, port authorities, inland border facilities, and hauliers.
- Ensure accurate application of Customs Procedure Codes (CPCs) and compliance for controlled goods subject to sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) controls.
Your Skills & Experience
- Demonstrable experience within customs, logistics, or supply chain, ideally in an FMCG or perishable goods setting.
- Hands-on experience or familiarity with UK customs software (e.g., CDS, CNS, Destin8, Sequoia).
- Understanding of CPCs, specialist customs procedures, and SPS controls.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel, exceptionally detail-oriented, and able to multitask under pressure.
- A Level 3 certificate from the UK Customs Academy or Institute of Export is desirable.
