ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY – ENVIRONMENTAL LAW

Our client, a well-established specialist law firm, is looking for an
Associate Attorney with solid environmental law experience to join their team.
The successful candidate will work within a specialist practice focusing on
environmental, regulatory and sustainability-related legal matters, with exposure to a range of complex matters across various sectors.
Minimum Requirements
- LLB degree
- Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa
- Solid environmental law experience
- Post-admission experience within environmental law or a closely related practice
- Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills
- Good understanding of South African environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- LLM in Environmental Law or a related field would be advantageous
- Valid driver's licence and own vehicle advantageous
The successful candidate will ideally have experience in:
- Environmental law and regulatory matters
- Environmental compliance and advisory work
- Environmental authorisations and related processes
- Environmental litigation and dispute resolution
- Regulatory and legislative matters
- Mining, energy, development or other environmentally regulated sectors
