Due to continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their Product Development team with the appointment of a driven and passionate Food Technologist.

The Opportunity
Working within a collaborative NPD team, you'll support the development of new and existing products from concept through to successful launch. This role offers hands-on involvement across customer projects, factory trials, product benchmarking and innovation initiatives, providing an excellent platform for career progression.
Whether you're a recent Food Science graduate with industry placement experience or already working in an NPD, Technical or Process role, this position offers the chance to develop your skills within a successful and growing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of new products from concept through to commercial launch.
- Assist in managing customer briefs and development projects.
- Prepare samples for customer presentations and internal reviews.
- Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking and trend analysis.
- Organise and support factory trials and production scale-ups.
- Maintain accurate product specifications and development documentation.
- Work closely with Technical, Production, Procurement and Commercial teams.
- Monitor emerging food trends and identify innovation opportunities.
- Support customer meetings and product presentations.
- Assist with continuous improvement and innovation projects.
About You
We're looking for an enthusiastic, organised and creative individual with a genuine passion for food and product development.
Ideal Requirements
- Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition or a related discipline.
- Industry placement year within food manufacturing, or 1-3 years' experience in an NPD, Product Development, Process or Technical role.
- Strong interest in food innovation and consumer trends.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively to deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
