About the role:
BaptistCare is seeking a passionate and purpose-driven Sustainability Manager to lead our sustainability strategy, framework and key initiatives across the organisation. Reporting to the General Manager - Strategy, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our commitment to net zero, the Reconciliation Action Plan and other key sustainability priorities while embedding environmental, social and governance principles into organisational strategy, decision-making and culture. This is an exciting opportunity to influence organisation-wide change, broaden your career, build specialist expertise in sustainability, and work closely with senior leaders to create positive impact for our customers, communities and people.
About you:
You may not currently hold a sustainability title, but you have a genuine passion for creating positive outcomes for people, communities and the environment.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience leading projects, initiatives or organisational change
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- The ability to bring people together around a shared vision and purpose
- Experience working with data, reporting, governance frameworks or performance measures
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Curiosity, initiative and a willingness to learn and develop sustainability expertise
- The ability to think strategically while delivering practical outcomes
- A commitment to BaptistCare's mission, values and Christian identity
