Job Purpose

John Cockerill Hydrogen (JCH2) has Global footprints and to supports its International and domestic operations we are looking for a Project Manager product development (PMPD) to be based in Mumbai (India) office. The PMPD will be responsible for Leading the entire life cycle of Alkaline Electrolyzer based Green Hydrogen production units from Concept to market launch. Needless to mention, the PMPD will be a key member of JCH2 team to achieve operational excellence and support the growth objectives of the organization globally.
Key Result Areas
• Ensure the product development lifecycle is followed, that all gates are passed to guarantee the developed product is compliant to all design requirement and all validation steps have been successful.
• Develop detailed planning, including scope, Performance parameters, schedule, and resource requirement and its allocation for JCH2 Product development projects.
• Lead and coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders to define project requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Identify and manage project risks, techno- commercial issues and mitigation plans to ensure successful completion of product development projects.
• Ensures the application, within projects and teams, of the Occupational Health & Safety policy
with the integration of safety, quality and environmental aspects.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage several types and configurations of JCH2 Product development portfolio as per company global strategy following the product development lifecycle. All design requirements including design to cost objective and successful passed validation plan must be meet at the end of the development.
System [PCU + Stack + Separation skid + purification] development management with the TPM assigned to the system development.
Stack development management with the TPM assigned to the stack development.
Separation development management with the TPM assigned to the separation skid development.
• Lead cross-functional projects, design & engineering, industrialization, procurement, QC, HSE teams along with of various other internal and external stakeholders for successful product development objectives through a collaborative and productive working environment.
• Take the lead of assigning tasks and responsibilities to team members, providing clear direction and support through out the product development phase of the project.
• In collaboration with procurement team participate in the selection of engineering subcontractors and any other vendor as per product development strategy
• Establish and monitor project implementation schedules and track project progress using appropriate tools, techniques, and report on status to all relevant stakeholders including senior management.
• Review and validate technical specifications in line with expected product performance and design requirements specified by product portfolio.
• Manage the applicable contractual, administrative and financial aspects of product development projects.
• Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback to ensure project objectives are achieved.
• Ensure projects are completed as per schedule and within budget while meeting all the performance and quality parameters.
• Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure product performance while ensuring compliance with all applicable international & local rules, regulations and relevant industry norms.
• Conduct regular project review meeting and post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
• Serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for all the project team members, including senior management, and other relevant parties.
• Prepare and present project progress reports, mitigation and catch-up plans, and presentations to all the stakeholders and senior management.
• Develop project specific communication matrix and ensure effective communication and collaboration across all project stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in project management.
• Stay updated on green hydrogen industry trends, technological changes, latest innovations and best practices for improvised project outcomes.
• Participate in the definition and implementation of your company's work processes and tools
department. Could support a future deployment of project management team in India for H2 if there is a decision from the management. The possible management involvement of this project management team will be evaluated at the time of deployment.
• Occasionally perform following primary functions:
PCU: package definition with Electrical, automation & Instrumentation (EAI) expert
Purification: package definition with purify expert or development management with the TPM assigned to the purification skid development
Support execution project manager in FEED/Pre-FEED project.
Education and Experience
• Graduate in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering /Electromechanics, from a reputed university. Post-graduation will be an added advantage.
• 12 to 15 years’ overall experience with minimum 5 years as Project manager in large engineering/project/process/heavy engineering industry with an exposure to Multinational environment.
• As part of your career, you can justify one or more experiences in the product development project management of electromechanical solutions in Oil & Gas and energy sector.

• You are precise, organized and you rigorously plan your work and that of your Employees
• You are Solution-oriented with a high capacity to collaborate with all types of engineering disciplines.
• Able to handle a variable workload (some very busy periods with multiple projects in parallel)
• Proactivity in the implementation of technical continuous improvement processes, based on feedback.
• Knowledge of International Standards such as ASME / EN/ DIN /JIS along with alternate materials
• Fluency in English is mandatory, and knowledge of French is added advantage.
