Job Description:
The missions of the SCADA Engineer are : - -
- To coordinate control systems engineering designs, writing of particular specifications, design documents, evaluations and performance assessments associated to control and equipment protection, construction, operation, and maintenance of the company SCADA system used for PV plants. To ensure the deployment of the SCADAs supplied by qualified Vendors per projects in India and overseas from the engineering to hand-over post-commissioning phases. To carry out a regulatory and technology watch to anticipate and integrate evolutions and potential improvements SCADA deployment during execution phase o Write the specification documents (requisition, compile set of general specifications etc.) for SCADA systems (PV plants, Wind plants, substations etc) o Specify the interfaces for operation purposes and reporting (alarms, events, KPI’s etc.) o Check and validate the engineering studies related to SCADA o Play an active role during all the phases of the projects on which He / She will be responsible for (technical workshops, physical meetings / conferences calls, internal meetings, coordination of the SCADA Suppliers and associated subcontractors) o Collaborate closely with Tendering and / or Delivery Project Managers, Electrical Engineers, IT department and SCADA Suppliers and follow-up on the correct progress of all studies and on site activities from pre-com to hand-over o Participate to acceptance test activities (FAT, SAT etc.) SCADA definition tendering phase o Analyse tender documents o Participate to responses to tenders under the Tendering and / or the Delivery Project Manager responsibility o Manage clarification and deviation requests o Prepare the technical dossier in response to the tender request Product development within ENGIE o Elaboration of SCADA roadmap with the Head of the Engineering Department o Continuous improvement of products, new strategy for supervision systems, controls systems, optimization costs o Work in close collaboration with the IT department for the improvement of IT infrastructures (update and upgrade of equipment related to SCADA and supervision) o Participate in the qualification of new SCADA Vendors to o SCADA interactions with electrical equipment (ITS, inverters etc.) and technical coordination with the suppliers from engineering phase to FAT completion. o Work with Performance Department to find ways of PV plants production optimization (soiling, tracking systems etc.) o Propose and implement pilot project to validate a concept (POC) Product development within ENGIE Group o Establish lessons learnt and establish / maintain partnership regarding the development of similar solutions currently developed in renewable domain (wind farm, PV etc.) o Organize workshop on new PV plant technologies (BESS, hybrid solutions, etc.) and in the optic of their future implementation / integration in SCADA systems o Organize workshop with R&D team to optimize solutions in terms of performance and availability of PV plants (specific algorithms etc.) EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS - Pre-requisites: o Masters/Bachelor’s degree in engineering BE/BTech or equivalent (Full time) o 8 – 10 years of relevant work experience in an industrial engineering and construction environment: Ideally in the solar/Wind industry, but could also be in the renewable, building construction (industrial, commercial, resort, etc…) or conventional energy industry
