Summary
This position is an advanced trainee position in the field of budgeting located at the National Park Service, Intermountain Region, Southern Arizona Office. Open to the first 100 applicants or until 09/01/2026 whichever comes first. All applications submitted by 11:59 (EST) on the closing day will receive consideration.
Major Duties
The major duties of the Budget Analyst position include, but are not limited to, the following: Monitoring fund status of appropriations which require detailed budget and financial analysis and program reporting Communicating with park staff and management to plan, monitor, and report on financial resources. Performing budget execution and formulation in compliance with applicable fiscal and appropriation laws, regulations, congressional guidance, and departmental procedures. Operating various financial and budget systems to extract financial data and report the status of funds, estimate annual carryover balances, and develop ad-hoc management reports. Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
