Position Summary
Finance manager oversees the operation of Project accounting and audit/tax compliance. This role will be responsible for day-to-day accounting and tax transactions, as well as monthly financial reporting activities.
The position is often consulted by and works in conjunction with the investment, commercial, asset management, legal teams and Group accounting team to address accounting/tax concerns arising from both existing and potential projects. Additionally, more than 50 entities issue local audited financial statements involving different auditors in line with TK agreements. The team handles tax compliance, including income tax, business tax, consumption tax, depreciable asset tax, and withholding tax on distribution. The Manager's responsibilities include managing internal and external accounting/tax reporting compliance by effectively communicating with auditors, tax preparers, internal departments, and the Singapore head office.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting: Timely and accurate financial reporting to HQ/Investors
Coach, guide and review the work of the outsourced book-keeping team to ensure the integrity and timeliness of financial reporting in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”), Group Accounting Policies and Japan GAAP (“JGAAP”).
2. Tax:Timely completion of tax filing and payments
3. Business partnering:Leverage financial expertise to support decision-making, drive performance improvements, and achieve organizational success.
4. Process: Enhance organizational efficiency and risk management
5. Value creation: Time and cost optimization
6. Attend to ad-hoc reporting request from Head of Finance, Japan and Senior Manager, Finance
