As Technical Project Manager – Solar Arrays, you will be the operational owner of customer projects from contract award through hardware delivery and integration. Working closely with the Head of Solar Arrays, you will coordinate engineering, production, quality, suppliers, and customers to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest technical standards.
You will play a key role in transforming customer requirements into flight-ready hardware, supporting missions ranging from commercial satellites in Low Earth Orbit to lunar exploration and beyond.
This is a high-ownership role for someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys solving complex technical and organizational challenges, and is passionate about turning ambitious space missions into reality.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout project execution, escalating strategic, contractual, resource-related, or major technical issues to the Head of Solar Arrays when required.
Own project schedules, budgets, risks, and action-item tracking, ensuring projects remain on time and within budget.
Coordinate project execution across Engineering, Production, Quality, Product Assurance, Supply Chain, and AIT teams.
Maintain system technical budgets, including mass, power, performance, and interface control documentation.
Identify long-lead procurements, schedule-critical activities, and project risks, and drive mitigation actions.
Serve as the technical point of contact for suppliers, external partners, test facilities, and engineering service providers.
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
Strong understanding of systems engineering practices, including requirements management, interface management, verification planning, and compliance management.
Experience with project planning, budget tracking, schedule management, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
Familiarity with spacecraft development, qualification, manufacturing, integration, and test activities is highly desirable.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Eligibility to work in Germany.
Fluent English language skills.
