Summary
You will serve as a Budget and Finance Officer at South Florida Parks and Preserve with the National Park Service. Salary Range Information (Per Annum): GS-13: $113,356 - $147,365 per annum. First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the step 1 rate.
Major Duties
This position is located within the Department of the Interior, National Park Service, South Florida Parks and Preserve, Administration and Business Services, with a duty location in Homestead, Florida. At the full performance level (GS-13) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Exercises the full range of administrative and technical supervision for a supporting staff. Performs work planning, work schedules and priorities, and assigns and reviews work. Responsible for formulating and managing the financial plans, budget, and execution of plans. Reviews request for adherence to policy, accuracy and for adequacy of justification. Incumbent ensures proper racking of expenditures and provides recommendations to the Chief of Administration to ensure proper accountability and a balanced budget. Share in the formulation and adoption of plans, programs and administrative procedures relating to programs and budgets. Is responsible for the analysis and presentation of program and budget matters. Analyze, interpret, and direct in a timely and efficient manner, changes to financial resources, resulting from Congressional, programmatic, budgetary and management initiatives and directives.
