What will your role
be?
In this project, your main responsibilities will be:
- Assist in the implementation of HSE processes and systems and provide daily assistance and expertise to the managers concerned.
- Participate in analyzing, developing and carrying out the HSE strategy that meets legal requirements (legislation, standards and regulations) and corporate standards for the Montreal site (operations and offices).
- Actively advise managers on the critical issues in their sector and recommend actions that will help mitigate environmental and safety risks.
- Communicate to promote awareness, motivation and commitment among occupational health and safety and environment workers to improve the culture of prevention.
- Use performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of the steps taken.
What qualifications are we looking for?
You have:
- Degree with specialization in an appropriate discipline (occupational health and safety, industrial relations, environment, industrial hygiene).
- Knowledge of legislation and regulations (AROHS, RROHS, EQA).
- More tha six years' experience in health, safety and environmental management.
- Ability to clearly and effectively express ideas orally and in writing.
- Autonomy and organizational skills (priorities management).
- Team player, tenacity, sense of responsibility.
- Ability to motivate and influence others with a view to promoting and improving current method.
- Ability to work closely in a team environment and to adjust quickly to change.
- Multitasking skills; ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results
- Bilingualism (French and English), oral and written.
