The ICCT isseekingan intern to join our office in New Delhi to support the transition of the heavy-duty vehicle (HDV) sector to zero-emission technologies in India. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in transportation policy research at a leading nonprofit organization.
You will:
- Contribute to researchanalysingthe total cost of ownership (TCO) of zero-emission truck technologies compared to conventional diesel vehicles in the Indian market
- Support analysis of India's HDV regulatory landscape, freight decarbonization policies, and national and state-level incentives forzero-emission trucks
- Assistin tracking and evaluating the deployment of zero-emissionHDVsacross key freight corridors and fleet operators in India
- Support the development of data-driven briefs and reports
- Contribute to stakeholder engagement activities,including preparation of presentations and summaries for government, industry, and civil society audiences
- Deliver ad-hoc tasks as needed
You have:
- Completed or pursuingaMaster'sdegreeinelectric vehicle technology,electricalormechanicalengineering,transport planning,energy systems,public policy,environmental sciences,economics,or a related discipline
- Familiarity withzero-emissionvehicletechnologies and policiesis preferred
- Experience withTCOmodelling oremissionsanalysis is a plus
- Excellent research, analytical, and quantitative skills, along with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with data using statistical tools or languages such as Pythonor Excel
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Ability to work 4-5 days per week (ideally 32-40 hours per week) with a duration of 3 months
