The Role
Supports enterprise industrial sustainability performance systems across Wells manufacturing operations. Oversees key performance tracking processes and contributes to the development and maintenance of systems, KPIs, and improvement frameworks related to energy, water, waste, and emissions. Translates enterprise sustainability goals into actionable plans and partners with Engineering, Operations, and Utilities to support plant-level execution. Serves as a key technical resource and execution lead for operational sustainability performance systems and data used in enterprise reporting and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee enterprise performance tracking systems and supports identification of improvement opportunities for energy, water, waste, and industrial emissions.
- Contributes to the development and maintenance of industrial sustainability systems, KPIs, standards, and performance frameworks to enable visibility, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversees and executes audits, assessments, and development of improvement roadmaps, including identification and prioritization of best practices.
- Partners with Engineering, Operations, Utilities, and Maintenance to translate sustainability goals into actionable plans and support plant-level execution.
- Serves as a technical resource and oversees Scope 1 and Scope 2 operational data, methodologies, and supporting systems, in alignment with Sustainability Leadership.
- Supports enterprise planning by developing insights, business cases, and recommendations for resource efficiency and emissions reduction opportunities.
- Supports and coordinates with internal teams on ESG reporting and compliance functions to help ensure industrial sustainability data, methodologies, and documentation are accurate, consistent, audit-ready, and support external reporting requirements including CDP, EcoVadis, EPR, and other sustainability requests.
- Supports sustainability leadership in enterprise performance management, prioritization, investment decisions, and broader sustainability reporting needs as required.
QualificationsWhat You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Operations, or related technical field. Advanced training or experience in manufacturing systems, utilities, continuous improvement, or energy and environmental management is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, utilities, energy management, process improvement, or related industrial sustainability roles with demonstrated cross-functional collaboration.
- Energy systems, utilities, water, waste, emissions, manufacturing operations, and performance measurement systems.
- Data analysis, KPI development, problem solving, stakeholder engagement, project prioritization, business case development, and communication across operational and technical teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other applicable systems.
- Translate strategy into operational plans, identify trends and opportunities, influence cross-functional teams, and build structured systems for performance improvement.
- Reports to Sustainability Leader.
- Supports identification and prioritization of initiatives impacting utilities spend, waste management costs, and emissions-related investments. Does not retain sole financial ownership but contributes to enterprise investment decisions.
