This role leads strategy,prioritisationand planningfor the UKacross our pillars of packaging,ingredientsandlocalcarbon reduction. It partnersacross categories and functions to deliver ambitions that meet the local customer,consumerand regulatory landscape.

This is arare rolewhere people, planet and business truly overlap.You willset the future direction,includingvision and strategic directionacrossthe whole UK business. This role takes the global pillars of sustainability, and translates for local adoption, accelerating critical pillars such as packagingand ingredients. You will partner withBrandandCustomer teams toidentifyandunlock growth opportunities. You will ensurewe’resufficient to meet our packaging ambitions, reducing virgin plastic and driving for circularity. You will partner with ourRegionalSustainabilityandCorporate Affairsto ensurewe’reready for regulation. You will lead the UK&I green army, including our cross-functional Sustainability Working Group and employee-led orgGreenBite. Not only will you lead the agenda, butyou’llplay a key role in driving pride across the org by speaking both internally, and potentially externally, about our achievements.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive the strategic directionto accelerate implementationin alignment with our 2030commitments and ambitions across packaging,localcarbonreductionand sustainable ingredients.

Partner with Brand Teams toidentifyand unlock growth opportunities, focusing on Cadbury, but with roll out of swords and shields acrossgrowthbrands

Drive joint value creationwith key Customer Teams,unlock partnership opportunities with retailers and driving our AGS score

Ensure sufficiency for ourVirgin Plastic Reduction pipeline, providing strategic support on lighthouse projectsacross all categories

Ensure readiness for key regulations. This includes local leadership of our evolution in sustainable cocoa sourcing, and readiness of the EU’s PPWR (packaging).

Drive pride and understanding of sustainability, focusing on sales, but broader impact across org

Continue to upskill our wider organisation on sustainability

Requirements:

Experience in driving / embedding sustainability within a business setting OR passion for sustainability

Strong marketing experience / ability to connect the dots and provide strategic recommendations for delivering brand growth via sustainability

Strategicmindsetwith evidence of commercial acumen and business understanding

Proventrack recordof leading through change.Bold, brave and willingness to do things differently.

Someone who is willing to contribute to our Team feeling of belonging.

Strong influencing skills, including managing senior stakeholders

Ability to build relationship across functions, enabling delivering of critical projects

High learning agility

Excellent communication, storytelling and presentation skills.

Willingness to focus on their development.
