Didion Orf Recycling is a leading provider of recycling and scrap metal management services. We specialize in the collection, processing, and selling of metals and electronics, contributing to a sustainable future. We’re seeking to hire an experienced Dispatcher/Scale Coordinator.
Hours
·M-F 6:30 am to 3:00 pm with occasional Saturdays

What You’ll Do
- Schedule and coordinate inbound and outbound truck deliveries.
- Dispatch drivers and monitor routes throughout the day.
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams regarding schedules and delivery updates.
- Operate truck scales and process weight tickets.
- Create and maintain transportation and shipment records.
- Assist with load scheduling, routing, and logistics coordination.
- Process paperwork and enter information into company systems.
- Answer phones, emails, and inquiries.
- Communicate with and support daily yard, shipping and receiving and transportation operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in dispatching, transportation, logistics, scale operations and customer service.
- Prior knowledge and/or strong interest in learning about the scrap metal and recycling industry is preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong computer and data entry skills.
- Ability to solve problems and adapt to changing priorities.
