Summary
This position is located in Little River Canyon National Preserve, in the Office of the Superintendent.
Major Duties
The incumbent serves as the Superintendent of Little River Canyon National Preserve (LIRI) and Russell Cave National Monument (RUCA) with the responsibility for the preservation, interpretation, maintenance, administration, and development of the monuments, and the safety and well-being of staff, volunteers, and visitors. Provides direction, management, supervision, and evaluation of the monuments' programs ensuring effectiveness and cost efficiency. Provides leadership in the development of policies, standards and procedures which govern the professional conduct of work related to the administration and implementation of the programs, including the functional areas of public use management, resource stewardship, education and interpretation, fiscal and human resources management, maintenance, visitor services, visitor and resource protection, safety management, partnerships, public affairs, budget planning and execution, and development.
