Summary
This is an Archeologist Seasonal Position at Hot Springs National Park. The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period is October - March, but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: October 2026 Open to the first 50 applicants or until 07/20/2026 whichever comes first. Major Duties
Archeologist Major Duties: Writing and editing professional documents. Entering, retrieving, and synthesizing data. Maintaining archeological information databases including geographic information system (GIS). Producing documents and reports using software applications. Querying data when writing reports. Using tools and equipment common to archeological functions, i.e. GPS units, tablets, measuring tools, shovels, screens, hand tools, etc. Performs archeological inventories to identify and assess the resources within an area that may be impacted by proposed projects. Recording data and preparing survey records. Communicating information and maintains working relationships with staff and park partners.
