Senior In-House Landman | Houston, TX (Hybrid)
A high-profile E&P operator is looking for a seasoned in-house landman to keep drilling locations moving. This is a hands-on title diligence role with real ownership: you'll be the one making sure units and locations are clean, clear, and rig-ready, or flagging exactly what's still standing in the way.
What you'll be doing
- Reviewing title diligence across future and some existing unit areas
- Identifying and clearing pitfalls or shortcomings on drilling locations and lateral paths before they become problems
- Staying ahead of the rig; keeping pace so title isn't the reason a location slips
- Getting units and locations to "ready to drill," or quantifying what's still needed to get there
What we're looking for
- 10+ years of landwork experience (this is a senior seat, not an entry point)
- Strong, current title diligence chops in an active drilling environment
- East Texas experience preferred (not required)
- Comfortable working independently and owning outcomes, not just tasks
What sets a candidate apart
- Hands-on experience with Texas allocated wells and co-tenancy. This rarely shows up cleanly on a resume, so if it's in your background, say so early.
The details
- Hybrid schedule: on-site downtown Houston Mon / Tue / Thu, work from home Wed / Fri
- Temporary but long-term; this is steady, ongoing work with a strong operator, not a short engagement
- Competitive day rate commensurate with senior-level experience
If you've spent the last decade keeping rigs moving and know what a clean unit looks like before anyone asks, we want to talk!
