Summary

This position is part of the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer, Department of Energy. As a Human Resources Specialist, you will independently lead complex, sensitive projects for senior Department officials, applying expert personnel management and deep HR program knowledge to plan, conduct, and integrate Department-wide initiatives.

Major Duties

Veterans shape the future of energy As a Human Resources Specialist, you will: Develop human resources policies and strategies to ensure Department-wide compliance with Federal statutes, Executive Orders, and judicial decisions. Provide expert HR guidance on issues to support stakeholders in resolving matters related to HR program areas. Analyze proposed legislation and regulations to shape agency positions and support effective Departmental personnel management. Represent the Department at interagency engagements to share information and support consistent implementation of policy updates and best practices across the organization. Administer agency-level HC-related programs ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory expectations.
