DescriptionAs an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving the site’s EHS programs. This role provides deep technical expertise, drives compliance with Singapore regulatory requirements and corporate standards, and partners cross-functionally to embed safety and sustainability into operations and engineering processes.
Responsibilities- Drive site EHS performance through tracking and improvement of safety metrics and sustainability reporting.
- Identify EHS gaps and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with Singapore regulations and corporate standards.
- Lead risk assessments, safe work procedures, and contractor safety reviews.
- Partner with engineering and operations to embed EHS requirements into equipment, automation, and facility projects.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPA closure.
- Develop and deliver EHS training and drive safety culture initiatives across the site.
- Ensure facilities, equipment, and operations comply with all safety and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and improve ISO 14001/45001 systems and support audits and governance processes.
- Strengthen emergency preparedness (ERP, CERT, fire safety) and contribute to BCP/crisis management.
- Support EHS committees, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serve in statutory roles (e.g., Workplace Safety Health Officer, Management Representative) and provide SME guidance to stakeholders.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, semiconductor or a related industry.
- Strong experience in regulatory compliance, audits, and ISO management systems.
- Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO)
- Fire Safety Manager (FSM) certification
- ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 auditor certification
- Ability to operate as a hands-on individual contributor while influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Project management and execution skills across engineering and operations environments.
- Effective communication and training delivery skills.
- High integrity with strong focus on compliance, governance, and operational excellence.
