Technical Buyer - BESS & PV Solar Projects

Successful candidate with Procurement, Supply chain and Technical Buying experience.

Minimum requirements for the role are as follows:

Proven experience as a Technical Buyer within the electrical, construction, solar PV, renewable energy, or EPC environment.
Strong understanding of electrical materials and equipment, including but not limited to:
- LV and MV cables
- Cable accessories and terminations
- Earthing materials
- DBs, switchgear, MCCs, inverters and transformers
- Conduits, sleeves and cable management systems
- Solar plant specific materials such as trackers, module mounting systems, DC string materials, combiner boxes and fibre optic materials
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, RFQs, comparative adjudications, supplier negotiations, purchase orders, delivery follow-up and expediting.
Experience with high-volume procurement across multiple sites simultaneously.
Ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, lead times and payment terms.
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize urgent site requirements.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, procurement tracking schedules and reporting.
Strong communication and coordination skills with site teams, project managers, suppliers and finance departments.
A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between project sites if required.
