Including, but not limited to:

Complete a weekly safety inspection of their department
|
|
|
Conduct safety conversations with employees
|
|
|
Monitor production levels as assigned
|
|
|
Ensure there is proper labor coverage for production and maintenance
|
|
|
Train employees in various ways e.g. one on one, tailgate meetings, and demonstrations
|
|
|
Work with various forms of communications e.g. email, bulletins, shipping documents, work assignments, production quotas.
|
|
|
Communicate to a workforce in morning tailgate and safety meetings (public speaking)
|
|
|
Provide client services in person or over the phone to ensure new metal materials are purchased daily
|
|
|
Work with employees and clients to ensure all conflicts and negotiations are handled in professional manner
|
|
|
Clean up work area at the end of shift
|
|
|
Keep work areas neat and orderly
|
|
|
Regular attendance and punctuality are essential job functions
|
|
|
Organizing materials to have more effective use of space
|
|
|
Dispose of various waste materials in the appropriate manner
|
|
|
Inspection to ensure cleanup is completed
|
|
|
Qualifications
|
|
|
|
|
|

Employees in this position prior to April 2014 are presumed to be qualified and are "grandfathered" into their positions.

Must pass a medical physical and drug test
|
|
·
|
Must pass a background check and credit check
|
|
·
|
Preferred – high school diploma or GED and/or foreign education acceptable
|
|
·
|
Bi-lingual (English & Spanish) language skills a plus
|
|
·
|
Ability to: communicate with others effectively; understand direction (written or oral) and use basic math skills as the job demands
|
|
·
|
An understanding of the metal market well enough to negotiate pricing, delivery process, and production demands
|
|
·
|
Possess interpersonal skills to gain support of workforce and clientele when conducting business
|
