Summary
This position is located in Andersonville National Historic Site, in the Maintenance Division. Open until 07/02/2026 . Major Duties
Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work from approximately 11 months, and you will be in a non-pay/non-duty status for at least 2 weeks to 6 months from December 27 through Feburary 6, per year based on project requirements or weather conditions. Operates towed or attached equipment with a tractor through hydraulic or mechanical control. Operating this equipment involves making multiple mechanical and hydraulic connections between the towed or attached equipment and adjustments. May include mowers, aerators, plows, harrows, chippers, sprayers, disks, post hole diggers, front-end loading devices, movable dozer blades and backhoes. Performs daily preventative maintenance and makes repairs and adjustments to tractors and equipment. Includes but not limited to replacing belts, chains and cables, oil and filter changes, battery checks, safety inspections, and other servicing that may be required. Incumbent will perform duties in 2 locations, Andersonville National Historic Site located in Andersonville, Georgia and Jimmy Carter National Historic Site located in Plains, Georgia.
