• Work with a group of professionals performing activities of environmental compliance for the WIPP facility in the areas listed above, including all reports and regulatory requirements for each area.
• Interface with DOE-CBFO personnel during operational activities and submission of reports.• Interface with regulatory agencies such as NMED and EPA personnel during inspections, new permit acquisition, and established permit requirements and modifications.
• Interface with other departments to ensure that aspects of environmental compliance is considered during project development and implementation.
• Sample waste containers for hazardous waste constituents and manage waste according to RCRA requirements.
• Sample waste containers for low-level radioactive waste characterization and manage waste according to DOE requirements.
• Generate and provide the following deliverables in collaboration with the Site Environmental Compliance group and Environmental Compliance Manager:
Biennial Hazardous Waste Report
Annual Polychlorinated Biphenyl (PCB) Report
Annual Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA) Tier II Report
Hazardous Waste Generator Fee Report
DOE Baseline Low-Level Waste and Material Disposition Data Report.
Annual Toxic Release Inventory
Annual Hazardous Waste Generator Report
Annual Baseline Low-Level Waste Disposition Report
