Electrician / O&M Technician

Job Summary
An established company within the renewable energy sector is seeking a qualified Electrician / O&M Technician to join its technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of solar PV systems, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability.Key Responsibilities
- Perform operation and maintenance (O&M) activities on solar PV systems.
- Conduct fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on electrical and solar installations.
- Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on inverters, batteries, PV arrays, and associated electrical equipment.
- Perform system inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Monitor system performance and identify potential issues before failures occur.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical regulations, standards, and safety requirements.
- Complete service reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation accurately.
- Assist with system upgrades, modifications, and new installations when required.
- Provide technical support and maintain professional relationships with clients.
Minimum Requirements
- Red Seal Qualified Electrician (Trade Tested).
- Proven solar PV experience is essential.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
Advantageous Qualifications
- Wireman's License.
- PV GreenCard Certification.
- Experience with the operation and maintenance of commercial and industrial solar systems.
- Knowledge of solar inverters, battery storage systems, and monitoring platforms.
- Experience with commissioning and performance testing of solar installations.
